Many of my 2015-2016 works focussed on biology and architecture, and the parallels between cities and biologies. Cities function as a body. They contain a nervous system in which culture changes from neighbourhood to neighbourhood; a vascular system of roads and beating heart of the city centre. This comparison, re configured from author to author, is a common literary trope, but one that seems to have endless relevance to different interpretations of the city.
