"Elysian Fields" is inspired by the final resting place of heroes, the blessed, and the righteous in Greek mythology: Elysium. It is equally influenced by Hades, the underworld of mortals. It describes women in an elegiac state of limbo, and touches upon themes of disassociation and anonymity.
