"Hiding in the Shadows" is the darker sister of "When the Tigers Came". There will always be wars and conflict that surround us, but we live in a vast, mysterious, and omnipotent universe that makes our petty squabbles insignificant by comparison. The fighting figures are inspired by several paintings by Rubens--over the top, hyper-dramatic and wholly exaggerated compositions. I find it fascinating how much of history we hold in our hands. The valiant warriors fighting not only the enemy but lions. History and mythology are sometimes indistinguishable, which can create the golden lining of creative storytelling arising from terrible events.
